Virtual Reality Training – For Gunfighters

Ever thought it would be cool to have a 360 degree training simulator where you could practice your defensive handgun skills? Well, if you live near Portland, Oregon, there is such a thing. It’s at a place called Threat Dynamics which is owned and operated by an all around good guy, who is also a combat veteran, named Ryan Tuttle.

You step into the arena with a gun that looks and feels exactly like a Glock and it even makes noise and has a recoil impulse. Then, you wait for bad things to happen. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Its your job to react accordingly. What a great training tool and talk about a stress enhancer.

Oh, and yeah, I almost forgot. You can get shot too. Well, kinda. See, you wear this belt that is like an extra large shock collar for a dog. If you do not react fast enough or correctly when the bad guy with the gun appears, well, lets just say I would not suggest starting the training exercise with a full bladder.

Might as well go and get the T-Shirt. I did.
