Home Defense 45-70 Loads

Um, yeah, that’s right. Shot some of these today. I was skeptical at first but a 5 inch pattern of six projectiles at 7 yards is pretty impressive. And these are not buck-shot or little disks; they’re bullets. The load is also accurate enough that you can hit at 50 yards with the lead projectile. AND, recoil is mild.

The same guy who was doing the demo at my house also had some great .45 Colt and Judge revolver multi-projectile loads. I’m not a Judge fan but these were the most wickedly devastating loads I have seen from that handgun and recoil was mild with these loads too. Much more so than with the .410 shot shells.

I promised to not disclose any details before the NRA Show but if you are going to Pittsburgh, this company will be there…I’ll keep you posted.

I’m very interested in hearing more about these loads! I’ve been toying with my Marlin 1895 a lot lately.

I was skeptical of the practicality at first. After the testing on targets up close and at long range – and in a bullet test media – I was impressed and changed my mind.

    I’m thinking about this one…

Does it take a new cylinder for a Judge, or does your TC Contender suddenly become your home defense weapon? Better shoot straight the first time then! 🙂
