.30 Rem AR AccuTip – Del Carmen Whitetail

This Del Carmen whitetail was shot at 93 yards with a 125 gr. Remington AccuTip from a .30 Rem AR. The bullet entered just in front of the left shoulder and exited above the right shoulder. The deer dropped where it was standing. There was so much blood coming from the deer’s mouth and nose we like to never got the photos taken. Notice the mule deer type rack on this buck. Fitting I guess since the mule deer I shot had a whitetail rack.

This deer is the fourth big game animal I have taken this year with the .30 Rem AR cartridge and the R15 rifle.

Check with Steve Jones of Backcountry Hunts if you would like to do a mule deer / whitetail combo hunt in Texas.
