SICK I AM

First it was the Gunwriter Assistant sick on Monday last week. his sister got it on Tuesday. Actually threw-up on me while we were watching football practice. Drema got it on Friday and was sick all day Saturday. Yesterday it was my turn. Still feel less than ideal.

Off to MO at 5 AM to shoot a whitetail with DRT ammo out of a .223 Remington. I’ll keep you posted if I don’t get too sick to go.

Let me know how that .223 works on the deer. I’ve been told that .223 ain’t enough for a deer but I don’t buy it.

I can tell you this right now. My sons and I have been using a 223 with Partitions, X Bullets and the new Fusion bullet for a long time with no exceptions. I have a great deal of data from hunts this afternoon and the ammo tests to share.

However, its been a long day that started at 3:30 and I’m DONE.

I need to check, but I think in Texas it’s not legal to hunt deer with .223

I did some research on shooting deer with the .223 sometime back and found more states than not do allow it. A magazine capacity restriction was more common that not allowing the .223.i cannot remember about Texas.
