Another day of shooting jello…

One of the tests I conducted today was with the 16 inch barreled H&K USC Carbine using Glaser Silver Safety Slugs. At 1600 fps this stuff is just wicked, penetrating to about 8 inches in 10% ordnance gelatin.  (If you watch closely you can see the base of the bullet fall out of the gelatin block as it bounces from the table.) After a full morning of playing with this nasty stuff, I’m taking the next few days off to work on my indoor outhouse at my hunting camp.

A hillbilly at heart, Richard lives on Shadowland - his shooting range in West Virginia - with the most understanding wife in the world, their three kids and a very protective ridgeback hound.
