New Surefire Flashlights

This new gear just in from my buddy Ron Canfield at SUREFIRE.

The Z2-S’s ultra-high-output LED generates 160 lumens of light, eight times the light output of a standard two-D-cell flashlight. The Z2-S utilizes a micro-textured reflector to shape and blend the beam so it has plenty of reach for searching—and enough peripheral light to maximize situational awareness—with no rings, spots, or other defects. The Z2-S also features a strobe mode programmed to blink at a specific frequency to effectively disorient an attacker, a feature that has been continuously requested by SureFire customers. The Z2-S has an MSRP of $139.00

The new AZ2 LED CombatLight® features two output levels and SureFire’s patented CombatGrip making it the optimal choice for pairing with a handgun. It features a virtually indestructible primary LED that generates 150-lumen beam capable of temporarily overpowering an aggressor’s vision. Surrounding the main LED is a ring of four secondary LEDs that produce a 35-lumen wide-angle beam designed for loading gear or other closer-range tasks that don’t require so much light or reach. The flashlight’s body is stepped down to reduce weight and improve ergonomics, which along with a rubber grip ring, allows the light to be held and operated “syringe style” providing an excellent hold in cold or wet conditions and even while wearing gloves. . The AZ2 currently retails for $260
